The news that Donald Trump is America’s 45th President has shaken the world
Everyone’s reaction to the news has varied across a very large, very extreme scale, including with celebrities.
As we already know, Lady Gaga is not a girl to sit around a sulk; the star has never been afraid to voice her opinions. From her controversial meat dress at the 2010 VMA’s to her outspoken advocacy for #blacklivesmatter social media.

In the wake of Hillary Clinton’s shocking loss, Gaga marched down the Trump Tower in Manhattan. The democrat singer stood on a large truck and sternly held a sign saying “Love Trumps Hate” in protest of the election results.
Lady Gaga also spread her message on Instagram and Twitter by sharing a photo of her protest and captioning the photo: “I want to live in a #CountryOfKindness #LoveTrumpsHate. He divided us so carelessly. Let’s take care now of each other.”

Lady Gaga has been one of the most active celebrity advocates for Clinton throughout the election. The singer took part in the midnight rally the night before the election, performing a duet with Bon Jovi, another strong democrat supporter. She also used public appearances and her social media presence to campaign for Hillary Clinton.

Leading up to the final deciding moments of the election, Gaga changed her Twitter account name from #VoteHillary to #CountryofKindness, sending a message to her fans that the way people treat each other is the most important thing.

Miley Cyrus reacted to the election results in a similar way by posting an emotional video on Facebook, showing her acceptance of Donald Trump as president.
“Hopefully we adjust and we accept everyone for who they are, and, so, Donald Trump, I accept you. This hurts to say, but I even accept you as President of the United States, and that’s fine, because, now, I want to be a hopeful hippie. I want to be hopeful that you will step in, too,” Cyrus said.
Miley Cyrus also took to Instagram to share a heartfelt message, reminding her fans to be loving and compassionate to each other.
