The birthday girl turns 35 today.

It’s Bey’s birthday, and we’re primed to celebrate.

Not only did she rack up the most wins at this week’s MTV VMA’s – she took home 8 Moonmen – she’s also now officially the most decorated artist in the VMA’s history (soz Madonna).

Beyoncé  spent her birthday weekend hanging out with her ladies: Michelle, Sasha and Malia Obama, and of course daughter Blue Ivy, at Camp David, the president’s country holiday home.

Even though the  president’s away in China at the moment, we imagine the girls still had loads of fun.

While a country retreat might sound a bit low-key for a birthday milestone, Bey’s having an official party in New York on September 5.

E-News reports she’s throwing a Soul Train themed bash – after the 70s TV show which was all about the funk, disco and hip hop tunes of the time.

How much fun would it be to dress up for that party!
