In July we began a campaign with Maybelline New York to celebrate their empowering new ‘Make It Happen’ mantra. We put the call out to girls everywhere, asking for applicants who wanted to Make It Happen for them, whatever ‘It’ might be.
We were inundated with hundreds of entries, all from phenomenally talented young women and after many hours of deliberation we found our amazing Maybelline Make It Happen winners, our Maybelline It Girls.

- Lucy Egan – Plant Breeder
- Krystal Ween – Makeup Artist
- Georgia Wilshire – Dietitian/Nutritionist/Foodie
As a final hurrah to their journeys, Maybelline took Miss FQ and the girls along to the Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards on Thursday night where they were dolled up by the Maybelline glam team, walked the red carpet with NZ’s hottest celebs and watched the show live at Vector Arena! Lucky!
