Can you blame Taylor Swift for not wanting this photo made public?

After all the leaks, is it any wonder T-Swift wants to protect her privacy?

Taylor Swift has asked a judge, presiding over her legal battle with a former Colorado radio personality, to seal documents and photos in order to protect her privacy.

Swift’s legal team claim that the star’s right to privacy outweighs the public’s need for disclosure. She also filed a motion to have the suit dismissed.

“In addition to the likelihood of these documents swaying a jury, it is all but assured that the photograph will be shared for scandalous and prurient interests – reasons that have nothing to do with the public’s interest in the Court’s decision making,” the motion states.

David “Jackson” Mueller bought the lawsuit against Swift in September 2015, after he was fired from his job amid allegations he lifted the singer’s skirt and grabbed her behind, although he claims a colleague was the guilty party.

The photo in question is thought to show the groping, which is presumably why the singer wants to keep it suppressed.

A counterclaim bought about by Swift in 2015 stated: “Mueller intentionally reached under (Swift’s) skirt, and groped with his hand an intimate part of her body in an inappropriate manner, against her will and without her permission.

“Mueller did not merely brush his hand against Ms. Swift while posing for the photograph: he lifted her skirt and groped her,” the 2015 motion stated.

Keeping the picture private makes sense but on the other hand you could argue that if she were to make the pic public, she’d be making a significant statement against sexual assault.

Given everything Tay’s been through this year, we understand, and we 100 per cent stand behind her right to make this choice.
